Watches & Wonders has started and Panerai has released their new watches and one that caught my eye is the new Radiomir California PAM01349.

The thing that stands out in this watch are two things:
1. The 45mm eSteel case has a new hand-applied, burnished-like finish called “Brunito”, which gives the watch an “aged steel” look.
2. The beautiful green california dial.

The Brunito finish has been developed by Panerai with an outside partner. The steel case, bezel, and caseback are coated in a thin, black PVD layer, which is then burnished away to reveal the steel underneath, giving it a weathered look and this process takes between 30 to 60 minutes per watch.

The watch houses the manually wound P.5000 caliber with an eight-day power reserve, which is a reliable work-horse movement by now.
